Public Record - Green Jobs: Is This the New 'New Economy'?

The Public Policy Forum hosts a symposium entitled “Green Jobs: Is This the New 'New Economy'?,” Ottawa, Ont., November 2–3, 2009. The aim is to discuss the implications of new North American environmental policies on the Canadian job market.

During this November 2nd discussion, Jake Caldwell (director of policy for agriculture, Center for American Progress) and Stewart Elgie (chair, Sustainable Prosperity) provide a broad overview of the issues that surround the Green Economy and what they mean for the prospect of green jobs in North America. Jacques Shore (Gowlings LLP) moderates the discussion. Afterwards, the speakers respond to questions from audience members.
