The Institute of Parliamentary and Political Law holds its third Law and Parliament Conference, Toronto, Ont., November 12–14, 2009. This year’s conference theme is “Parliament and Government: Partners and Adversaries.”
During this November 13th session, political science experts discuss how private members’ bills are introduced and processed in the Canadian parliamentary system. The panellists are Kelly Blidook (Department of Political Science, Memorial University), Mark Holland (Liberal MP), and Peter Loewen (Department of Political Science, University of British Columbia). After speaking, panellists respond to questions from audience members.
