Non-Partisan Conference on International Trade (Part 3 of 5)
Participants discuss China–Canada trade relations as part of a roundtable discussion series organized by Scott Brison (the Liberal Party international trade critic), Ottawa, Ont., December 7, 2009. The speakers are Wendy Dobson (from the Institute for International Business at the University of Toronto), Robert Wright (a former Canadian ambassador to China and Japan), Carla Kearns (the chair of the Canada–China Environmental Forum), and Yolanda Banks (from Export Development Canada). Following presentations, panellists respond to questions from audience members, including Liberal MP Keith Martin and Liberal Senator Peter Stollery. Mr. Brison organized these talks in anticipation of “Canada at 150: Rising to the Challenge,” a non-partisan conference scheduled to take place in Montreal in March 2010.
