Liberals Are Working – Jobs Roundtable
Panellists discuss jobs in the manufacturing sector at a roundtable discussion hosted by the Liberal Party, Ottawa, Ont., January 25, 2010. This session is part of a series of discussions organized and attended by the Liberal Party after Prime Minister Stephen Harper sought and was granted a prorogation of Parliament from December 30, 2009–March 3, 2010. First, Liberal Party leader Michael Ignatieff addresses his caucus with opening remarks. Afterwards, panellists present their position on the session’s topic. Sitting on the panel are Jason Myers (Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters), Richard Paton (Chemistry Industry Association of Canada), and Carla Ventin (Food and Consumer Products of Canada). Liberal MP John McCallum moderates. Afterwards, the panellists respond to questions from Liberal caucus members, including Navdeep Bains, Scott Brison, and Marlene Jennings.
