Wenrang Jiang (University of Alberta) and Chrystia Freeland (Financial Times of London) speak on the first day of this conference hosted by the National Capital Branch of the Canadian International Council, Ottawa, Ont., January 21, 2010. Mr. Jiang discusses political and security issues and Ms. Freeland focuses on economic issues. Afterwards, Mel Cappe (the president of the Institute for Research on Public Policy) moderates a question-and-answer session.
