Public Record - Newfoundland and Labrador Speech from the Throne 2010


On March 22nd, 2010, the Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador, John Crosbie, delivered the provincial throne speech to open the spring sitting of the House of Assembly. The speech outlined the government's accomplishments to date, including investments into roads and hospitals, to achieving "have" status and negotiating equity stakes in some of its oil fields. The political blueprint also promised action on child protection, child care and poverty reduction.
