Public Record - Canada at 150: Rising to the Challenge – March 26 (Part 2 of 4)

On March 26–28, 2010, in Montreal, leading academics and policy experts from Canada and around the world participated in "Canada at 150: Rising to the Challenge," a non-partisan event organized by the Liberal Party of Canada. The three-day event has been described as a chance for "some of Canada's leading thinkers and doers to grapple with big issues facing our country."

Setting the Context: Today to 2017

In the first presentation of the conference, Marie Bernard-Meunier (former Canadian ambassador to the Netherlands and Germany), Sherri Torjman (vice-president of the Caledon Institute of Social Policy), and Pierre Fortin (economics professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal), discussed the broad dynamics defining the public policy landscape between now and 2017.
