Public Record - Canada at 150: Rising to the Challenge – March 27 (Part 3 of 5)


On March 26–28, 2010, in Montreal, leading academics and policy experts from Canada and around the world will participate in "Canada at 150: Rising to the Challenge" , a non-partisan event organized by the Liberal Party of Canada. The three-day event has been described as a chance for "some of Canada's leading thinkers and doers to grapple with big issues facing our country."

Geopolitics and Canadian Interests in the North American Energy Market

In the third panel discussion of day 2 of the conference, Dan Gagnier (chairman of the International Institute for Sustainable Development) and Michael Phelps (former chairman and CEO, West Coast Energy Inc.) outlined the challenges and opportunities of Canadian energy in the marketplace of 2017. Following their discussion panellists responded to questions from the audience and online participants.
