Public Record - Order of Canada Investiture Ceremony – April 2010


On April 7th, 2010, Governor General Michaëlle Jean presided over an Order of Canada investiture ceremony at Rideau Hall. Awarded for the first time in 1967, the Order of Canada is the country's highest civilian honour for lifetime achievement. Among the recipients at this ceremony were Free the Children and Me to We co-founder Marc Kielburger, olympian Clara Hughes and former Supreme Court Justice Michel Bastarache.
