Haiti Today, Haiti Tomorrow: Contrasting Perspectives (Part 2 of 2)
On April 6th, 2010, the University of Ottawa held a international symposium on Haiti entitled "Haiti Today, Haiti Tomorrow: Contrasting perspectives." The second session examined the conditions on the ground in Haiti at the moment and featured Muscadin Jean-Yves Jason (mayor of Port-au-Prince), Suzy Castor (director, Center for Economic and Social Research and Training for Development, Haiti), Michel Forst (UN independent expert on the human rights situation in Haiti), Franklin Midy (Department of Sociology, Université du Québec à Montréal) and Jean-Pierre Taschereau (Canadian Red Cross).
