On June 9th and 10th, 2010, in Ottawa, The Institute of Intergovernmental Relations at Queen's University and the Canadian Study of Parliament Group organized a conference entitled "The Crown in Canada: Present Realities and Future Options."

The third session on June 10, entitled "The Crown Down Under: Issues and Trends in Australia and New Zealand," and featured Peter Boyce (University of Tasmania, Australia), Noel Cox (Auckland University of Technology New Zealand) and David E. Smith (Universities of Saskatchewan and Regina).
