North American Futures (Part 2 of 8)
Held in Berkeley, California from March 12th to 13th, this conference examined the issues surrounding the North American relationship and its role in a changing world. Moderated by Former Quebec Premier Pierre Marc Johnson, this session on March 12th featured a presentation by Jack Citrin (Director of the Institute of Governmental Studies at UC Berkeley) and Richard Johnston (Director of the Centre for the Study of Democratic Institutions at the University of British Columbia). Citrin and Johnston focused on political culture and identity in Canada and the United States. The discussants were Henry E. Brady (Dean of the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley) and Colin Robertson (Director of the Canada-US Engagement Project at Carleton University's Norman Paterson School of International Affairs).
