Public Record - 2010 Couchiching Institute Annual Conference – August 6 (Part 2 of 6)


The Couchiching Institute on Public Affairs held its 79th annual summer conference in Orillia, Ont., from August 5th to 8th, 2010. This year's theme was "Watershed Moment or Wasted Opportunity." Participants examined the global economic meltdown and how it has changed views on the economy, the role of the state, and public policy.

This August 6th panel, entitled "Now What? Innovation and Global Competitiveness", featured presentations by Anne Golden (president and CEO of the Conference Board of Canada) and Roger Martin (dean of the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto).
