On November 18th, 2010, in Ottawa, the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives organized a conference on "Advancing Democracy and Social Justice in Canada: the Next 30 Years." The final panel of the day, "The Economy: From Recession to Recovery to Transformation", featured Dean Baker (Co-director, Centre for Economic and Policy Research-Washington), Jim Stanford (economist CAW), Armine Yalnizyan (economist, CCPA), Iglika Ivanova (economist, CCPA-BC office).
