On February 9th, in Calgary, the Institute for Research in Public Policy organized a panel discussion titled “From Climate Change to Clean Energy.” Bruce Carson (Director, Canada School of Energy and the Environment, University of Calgary), Kevin Lynch (vice-chair, BMO Financial Group, and former Clerk of the Privy Council), and Velma McColl (Earnscliffe Strategy Group) discussed Canada’s future as an energy superpower and the challenges of striking the right balance between energy exploitation and environmental protection.
