Celebrating Women, Health and Equality

On March 8th, in Ottawa, the Canadian Foundation for Women’s Health, the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada, and the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood organized an event on “Celebrating Women, Health and Equality.” This event marked the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day.

Moderated by CPAC’s Catherine Clark, the event also featured Maureen McTeer (White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood), Rona Ambrose (minister responsible for the status of women), Huguette Labelle (chancellor, University of Ottawa), Dr. Jennifer Blake (Canadian Foundation for Women’s Health), Allison Fisher (Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health), and Dr. André Lalonde (Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada).
