80th ANNUAL COUCHICHING CONFERENCE

The Couchiching Institute on Public Affairs held its 80th annual summer conference in Orillia (Ont.) from August 4th to 7th, 2011. This year's theme was "From the Ground Up: Civic Engagement in Our Time". The second panel on August 5th was entitled "Case Studies: Strategies of Engagement." The panellists were Dave Toycen (President, World Vision Canada), Tom Ormsby (Director of External and Corporate Affairs, De Beers Canada) and Frances Westley (JW McConnell Chair in Social Innovation, University of Waterloo).
