Public Record - Canada's North Beyond 2011 - International Perspectives

In the fourth session of the conference Canada’s North Beyond 2011, panellists examine issues of Arctic security and sovereignty. The conference is taking place in Edmonton, Alta., from October 11 to 13, 2011, and is hosted by the Conference Board of Canada.

This October 13, 2011, discussion includes remarks by Thomas S. Axworthy (the president of the Walter and Duncan Gordon Foundation), Michael Byers (a professor at the University of British Columbia), Erik Vilstrup Lorenzen (the Danish ambassador to Canada), and Chester Reimer (a senior policy advisor with the Inuit Circumpolar Council). The panel is moderated by Charles Emmerson (a geopolitical specialist with Chatham House, U.K.).
