Canada's North Beyond 2011 - Nurturing Local Talent and Entrepreneurship
In the sixth and final session of the conference Canada’s North Beyond 2011, panellists discuss their experiences supporting northern entrepreneurship and the growth of local business, as well as workplace inclusion for Aboriginals within larger organizations. The conference is taking place in Edmonton, Alta., from October 11 to 13, 2011, and is hosted by the Conference Board of Canada. This session on October 13, 2011, features Clint M. Davis (the president and chief executive officer of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business), Joseph Deklic (the vice-president of strategic investments at Cisco Systems Canada), Kelly Lendsay (the president and chief executive officer of the Aboriginal Human Resource Council), and Kyla Kakfwi Scott (a program manager at Dechinta Bush University). The panel is moderated by Thomas S. Axworthy (the president of the Walter and Duncan Gordon Foundation).
