The Promise of Media in Halting Mass Atrocities

On October 20-21, 2011, in Montreal, the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies at Concordia University organized a conference titled "The Promise of Media in Halting Mass Atrocities: A Conference to Mark the 10th Anniversary of the Responsibility to Protect."

In the third panel discussion, Liberal Senator Roméo Dallaire and Andrew Potter, the Ottawa Citizen's managing editor, discussed the link between the media and government leadership.
