Expressions of Reconciliation

On October 26-29, 2011, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada held an Atlantic National Event in Halifax.

Residential school survivors had the opportunity to share their experiences and provide a public forum for Canadians to learn about the schools' history and legacy. On October 29th, expressions of reconciliation were offered by Aboriginal Affairs Minister John Duncan, deputy RCMP commissioner Steve Graham and others.
