The Chief Economists: Update on the Economy

On November 29, 2011, the Canadian Bankers Association and the Canadian Club of Ottawa organized a panel discussion with chief economists from five of Canada's top banks. Moderated by Terry Campbell (president and CEO of the Canadian Bankers Association), the participants provided their input on the current and future state of the Canadian and global economies.

The panellists were Craig Alexander (senior vice-president and chief economist, TD Bank Group), Warren Jestin (senior vice-president and chief economist, Scotiabank), Stéfane Marion (chief economist and strategist, National Bank Financial Group), Avery Shenfeld (chief economist, CIBC World Markets Inc.) and Craig Wright (senior vice-president and chief economist, RBC).
