The International Institute of Communications (IIC) Canada held its 2011 annual conference in Ottawa from November 28th to 29th. This year's theme was: "Competition, Innovation and Applications: Towards a Digital Economy for Canada."

The final panel of the day on November 28 was titled "Over the Top (OTT) Services: Reframing the Content Landscape." The participants were Barry Kiefl (president, Canadian Media Research), Ryan Victor (senior vice-president, business and legal affairs, NBC Universal Television Distribution), Peter Miller (lawyer and consultant) and Randal Rudniski (independent market analyst). The panel was moderated by Gary Maavara (executive vice-president and general counsel, Corus Entertainment).
