Public Record - The Global Economic Crisis - Session # 2


On January 26 in Ottawa, the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives organized an event titled "The Global Economic Crisis: Can Canada Escape a Lost Decade?"

The second session examined the Canadian dimension of the crisis and assessed the policy response. The participants in this session were Patti Croft (former chief economist for RBC global asset management), Alice Nakamura (professor, Department of Finance and Management Science, University of Alberta), Mario Seccareccia (professor, Department of Economics, University of Ottawa) and Jim Stanford (economist at the Canadian Auto Workers).
