Public Record - After the Patriation – April 12, 2012 (Part 1 of 8)


On April 12-14, 2012, in Montreal, a conference titled "After the Patriation: Taking Stock" marked the 30th anniversary of the patriation of the Canadian Constitution.

The first session, "The Patriation of the Constitution: Issues and Players," featured Louis Bernard (former secretary general of the Executive Council under former Quebec premier René Lévesque), Brian Peckford (former premier of Newfoundland), Peter Meekison (former Alberta deputy minister of Alberta federal and intergovernmental affairs) and Ghislain Picard (regional chief of the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec and Labrador).
