On April 12-14 in Montreal, a conference titled "After the Patriation: Taking Stock" marked the 30th anniversary of the patriation of the Canadian Constitution.

The first session on April 13, "Understanding the Patriation," featured Kenneth McRoberts (Glendon College, York University) Alain Gagnon (UQAM) and Ronald Graham (author of “The Last Act: Pierre Trudeau, the Gang of Eight, and the Fight for Canada”).
