On April 12-14 in Montreal, a conference titled "After the Patriation: Taking Stock" marked the 30th anniversary of the patriation of the Canadian Constitution.

The closing session on April 14 featured Guy Laforest (Université Laval), Daniel Turp (President of the Quebec Association of Constitutional Law), Bernard Descoteaux (Director of Le Devoir) André Pratte (Editor-in-Chief, La Presse) and closing remarks by conference organizer Benoît Pelletier.
