Public Record - Washington Correspondents Dinner

Washington Correspondents Dinner

On April 28, the White House Correspondents' Association held their annual dinner and awards ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in Washington. U.S. President Barack Obama kept up the tradition of giving a speech that poked fun at himself and his political rivals. ABC's Jimmy Kimmel closed the evening with a routine that made fun of the President and of the many celebrities in attendance. Every president has made a point of attending this dinner since Calvin Coolidge began the tradition in 1924.
