Building on Rio + 20: Canada's role and priorities in a global green economy

On May 1st and 2nd, 2012, in Ottawa, Sustainable Prosperity organized a conference entitled "Building on Rio + 20: Canada's role and priorities in a global green economy." This conference marks the 20th anniversary of the Rio Earth Summit, which was intended to chart a course for global sustainable development.

The first panel of May 1, "The World at a Crossroads: Shifting to a Green Economy," featured Maurice Strong (1992 Earth Summit Secretary-General) Brice Lalonde (UN Executive Coordinator, Rio +20) and Désirée McGraw (World Youth Ambassador to the 1992 Earth Summit).
