Building on Rio + 20: Canada's role and priorities in a global green economy

On May 1st and 2nd, 2012, in Ottawa, Sustainable Prosperity organized a conference entitled "Building on Rio + 20: Canada's role and priorities in a global green economy." This conference marks the 20th anniversary of the Rio Earth Summit, which was intended to chart a course for global sustainable development.

The second panel on May 2 was entitled " Transforming the Energy System." The participants were Mike Cleland (Nexen Executive in Residence, Canada West Foundation) Jim Burpee (President and CEO, Canadian Electricity Association), James Meadowcroft (School of Public Policy, Carleton University) and Dan Wicklum (Chief Executive, Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance (COSIA)).
