Canadian Medical Association 145th annual general meeting
The Canadian Medical Association held its 145th annual general council in Yellowknife, N.W.T. from August 12 to 15, 2012. The focus of this year’s meeting was on how to address health gaps within Canada’s population.
This education session on August 12th featured a discussion on physician role in health equity. The panellists were Dr. Jeffrey Turnbull, Medical Director and Vice-President of Ottawa Inner City Health, Sir Michael Marmot, Director of the Institute of Health Equity at University College London and Dr. David Butler-Jones, Chief Public Health Officer of Canada.
