On September 7, 2012, a public information panel on medically-assisted death was held in Ottawa. Moderated by Maureen McTeer (adjunct professor of health and medical law at University of Ottawa), with Udo Schuklenk (Queens University and chair of the Expert Panel of the Royal Society of Canada on End of Life Decision Making report released November 2011), Maryse Gaudreault (chair of the Select Committee of the Quebec National Assembly on Dying With Dignity report released March 2012) and professor Errol Mendes (University of Ottawa Faculty of Law).
