Public Record - Memorial Service for Peter Lougheed – September 21, 2012


A memorial service is held for former Alberta premier Peter Lougheed (1928–2012) in Calgary, Alta. Mr. Lougheed served as premier from 1971 to 1985.

Speeches are presented by Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Alberta Premier Alison Redford, political commentator Rex Murphy, and members of Mr. Lougheed’s family.

Afterwards, Ms. Redford, Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall, and former Quebec premier Jean Charest speak with reporters about Mr. Lougheed’s political legacy.
