Public Record - 2012 Modern Makers of Canada


The second annual Modern Makers of Canada Award is presented in Ottawa by the Institute on Governance, December 10, 2012. This award was created to recognize Canadians who have contributed to good governance through transformational public sector leadership.

This year's recipients are former Prime Minister Jean Chrétien, former Saskatchewan Premier Roy Romanow, and former Chief Justice of Ontario Roy McMurtry. They are being recognized for the leading and critical roles they played in the patriation of the Canadian constitution and the creation of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
