In this conference session, entitled “Big Tent Conservatism,” panellists explore key issues facing the Conservative movement.

First, Andrea Mrozek (Institute of Marriage and Family Canada) and Matt Bufton (Institute for Liberal Studies) discuss the following question: “Should the state help conserve the family?”

The second panel, featuring Geoff Norquay (Earnscliffe Strategy Group) and Brian Lilley (Sun News Network) debate whether to encourage or discourage the so-called “welfare state.”

Finally, Monte Solberg (a former federal minister of immigration) and Ezra Levant (Sun News Network) explore the following question: “Should conservatives be ‘green’?”
