On March 15–16 in Shawinigan, The Rt. Hon. Jean Chrétien, together with a number of senior officials and scholars, hold symposium mark the tenth anniversary of the Canadian government’s decision not to join the coalition invading Iraq. (March 15, 2013)

The first panel re-examinines what led to the country's decision to not participate in the 2003 Iraq war and features Nelson Michaud (professor and director, École nationale d’administration publique), Justin Massie (professor, University of Ottawa), Kim Richard Nossal (Centre for International and Defence Policy, Queen’s University) and Claude Laverdure (foreign policy advisor to the Prime Minister of Canada, 2000–2003)
