The final panel of the first day, "Canada, Multilateral Institutions and Relations with Allies," featured Jocelyn Coulon (director, Centre d’études des relations internationales de l’Université de Montréal), Raymond Saint-Pierre (journalist, CBC-Radio-Canada), David Haglund (professor, Queen’s University) and Paul Heinbecker (permanent representative of Canada to the UN, 2000–2003).
