Held in the Senate chamber, the theme of this year's Canada-France Symposium is "Canada and France in the Great War 1914-1918." Yves Frenette (University of Ottawa) discusses the significance of the Great War for North America's French-speaking community. Carl Pépin (Université Laval) examines relations between France and Quebec from 1914 to 1918.
