After the Paris Attacks

Hosted by the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and Munk School of Global Affairs, this one-day conference examines the responses in Canada, Europe and around the world to the violent attacks in Paris that took place in January. The fifth panel of the day featured Sukanya Pillay (Executive Director and General Counsel, the Canadian Civil Liberties Association), Kent Roach (Faculty of Law, University of Toronto), David Schneiderman (Faculty of Law, University of Toronto) and Wesley Wark (University of Ottawa) discussing national security, the power of CSIS and freedom of speech in the context of the government's new anti-terrorism legislation.
