Public Record - 2015 UMQ Annual Conf - Marie-Lise Pilote & the Francine-Ruest-Jutras award

2015 UMQ Annual Conference

The Union of Quebec Municipalities (UMQ) holds its 94th annual conference in Montreal. The theme of this year's event is "Municipalities, Energy Sources."

Marie-Lise Pilote, founder of Pilote & Filles, speaks about the challenges and accomplishments that helped shape her career and how she has been able to succeed as a woman working in a man's world. Following her address, the UQM presents the 2015 Francine-Ruest-Jutras award to the late Lucie Roussel (former mayor of La Prairie, Quebec). First awarded in 2013, the award recognizes excellence and leadership of women in municipal politics and local governance. (May 21, 2015)
