2016 Travers Debates
The 2016 Travers debates are held in Ottawa. The first debate on whether the House of Commons is facing a decorum deficit features Scott Feschuk (Maclean's) and Ruth Ellen Brosseau (NDP MP, Berthier-Maskinongé, Quebec) arguing for the motion while Katie Simpson (CBC News) and Roger Cuzner (Liberal MP, Cape Breton-Canso, Nova Scotia) will argue against it. The second debate features Pollster Bruce Anderson (Chairman, Abacus Data) and Ed Greenspon (President & CEO of the Public Policy Forum, former editor-in-Chief, The Globe and Mail) debating whether or not democracy is facing serious risks with the decline of legacy media.
