Right to Know: Open Government
As part of this year's Right to Know Week celebrations, panellists Robert Giggey (city of Ottawa), Amanda Clarke (Carleton University), Don Lenihan (Canada 2020) and Teressa Scassa (University of Ottawa), discuss the improvements and the challenges facing openness at all levels of government in Canada. This year in Canada, Right to Know week takes place from September 26 to October 2. The purpose of this week is to raise awareness of an individual's right to access government information and to promote freedom of information as essential to both democracy and good governence.
