The Great Canadian Debate – May 2, 2017

On May 2, 2017, Ujjal Dosanjh (a former premier of British Columbia and former federal minister of health) and Dr. Brian Day (a former president of the Canadian Medical Association) debate the following question: “Is our broken health care system infringing the rights of Canadians?”

Mr. Dosanjh argues in favour of the motion, while Dr. Day argues against it. Peter Milliken, a former Speaker of the House of Commons, serves as the debate moderator. The event is hosted by the Macdonald-Laurier Institute as part of its Great Canadian Debates series. (no interpretation)
