The 2017 Travers Debates
The 2017 Travers Debates are held in Ottawa. The first debate on the importance of the type of socks a prime minister wears features Marilyn Gladu (Conservative MP, Sarnia—Lambton) and David Cochrane (CBC News) arguing for the resolution, while Nathan Cullen (NDP MP, Skeena—Bulkley Valley) argues against it. The second debate features Shachi Kurl (executive director, Angus Reid Institute) and Stephen Maher (political journalist) deliberating on whether or not the potential exists in Canada for the rise of a northern populist movement.
