Summit on Guns and Gangs: Alternative Approaches to Gun and Gang Violence
Experts, front-line groups and politicians from all levels of government are in Ottawa for the one-day National Summit on Gun and Gang Violence, which is hosted by federal Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale. Lisa Janes, director general of border operations for the Canada Border Services Agency, RMCP Inspector Denis Savard and Vincent Paris, Crown counsel for the Ministry of the Attorney General of Ontario, discuss alternative approaches to gun and gang violence. Holly Hallborg and Lindsay Daniller, who are both with the anti-gang project Wraparound Edmonton, and Alison Gutrath from the In It Together program in Abbotsford discuss their work with at-risk youth.
