CEMAD 2019 – Concluding Panel
Professionals from the culture, media and technology fields gather in Montreal for a special conference on the future of French-language broadcasting, distribution, content creation and production in the digital era (CEMAD). CPAC's Esther Bégin moderates the final panel of the conference. Independent rapporteurs Catalina Briceno and Pierre Barrette, who are both with UQAM’s Media School, share their observations of the day's discussions. They are followed by Monique Simard and Pierre Trudel, members of the expert panel mandated by Canadian Heritage, with their conclusions. The one-day conference is hosted by the University of Montreal, UQAM’s Media School, and HEC Montréal’s media division. Discussions focus on issues linked to new Canadian broadcasting legislation and the emergence of digital media. (January 24, 2019)
