The Canadian Association of Broadcasters hosts a panel discussion entitled “The Impact of Media Coverage on Democracy,” Vancouver, B.C., October 21, 2002. Discussion topics include political ethics, voter participation, and media bias.

The panellists are Robert Fife (the Ottawa bureau chief for the National Post), Preston Manning (the founder of the Reform Party), Jacques Parizeau (a former premier of Quebec), Mike Duffy (a CTV News anchor), and Peter Donolo (the executive vice-president of the Strategic Council). Chantal Hébert (a national affairs columnist at the Toronto Star) moderates the discussion.
