8th annual Canadian Film and Television Production Association (CFTPA) conference on the state of the Canadian film and television industry, Ottawa, Ont., January 29, 2004.

Guy Mason (president and CEO of CFTPA) and Claire Samson (president and CEO of the Association des producteurs de film et television du Québec (APFTQ)) present a report about Canada’s film and television industry, including box office and employment statistics.

Later, CPAC’s Ken Rockburn moderates a panel discussion about the state of the industry. Panellists include Leo Furey (chair of the Association of Provincial Funding Agencies), Tom Rowe (producer, Network Entertainment Inc.), Arnie Gelbart (president and executive producer of Galafilm Productions Inc.), Glenn O’Farrell (president and CEO of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters), Alexandra Raffé (president of Savi Media Inc.), and Patrick Whitley (president of Dufferin Gate Productions).
