Public Record - Preston Manning and Mike Harris

Preston Manning, the founder of the Reform Party, and Mike Harris, a former premier of Ontario, unveil a policy report entitled “A Canada Strong and Free” on behalf of the Fraser Institute on April 13, 2005, in Ottawa, Ont. Mr. Manning gives a short speech outlining the main tenets of the paper, which calls for health-care reform, tax relief, and a revitalized democracy. Mr. Harris then outlines the challenges related to health-care costs and the debate over private funding for health care. The speeches are followed by a brief question-and answer-session.
