Proceedings of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Public Accounts, April 1, 2004. Committee members continue their consideration of the Auditor General of Canada’s report on government sponsorship activities, advertising, and management of public opinion research.

The session is devoted to the consideration of a motion by Marlene Jennings (Liberal) concerning the questioning of witnesses by committee members. Participants in the discussion include committee members Odina Desrochers (Bloc Québécois), Jason Kenney (Conservative), Vic Toews (Conservative), Peter MacKay (Conservative), Walt Lastewka (parliamentary secretary to the minister of Public Works and Government Services), Joe Jordan (parliamentary secretary to the president of the Treasury Board), and committee chair John Williams (chair of the public accounts committee).
